Marie-Claud is forever a student, continually deepening her education in anatomy, biomechanics, mindfulness, Nidra and, most recently, Reiki. She has completed HappyTree's 200-hour, Yin and Gentle YTTs and has assisted Melanie for over a decade in her Yin trainings, imparting her passion, enthusiasm and vast knowledge with tremendous generosity and kindness. She has completed multiple restorative yoga teacher trainings (Donna Read, Rocio Machorro, André Borin and Marie-Daphné Roy) and blends precise, creative use of props with a teaching style that helps even her most "Yang" students trust and let go.
Melanie Richards is the founder of Yoga HappyTree Inc., the creator and leader of Yoga teacher training programs, and a mental health advocate. She is a 500-hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) with Yoga Alliance, a certified Hatha and Kundalini yoga teacher, and has sat multiple 10-day Vipassana silent meditation retreats. Melanie shares Yoga from her heart with relatability, compassion and enthusiasm, fostering a warm and inclusive learning atmosphere. She empowers people from all walks of life to take the path of Yoga back home to their hearts.
