Course Description

No matter how long you've lived with chronic stress or anxiety, peace is possible. ❀️

Our mind, body and breath are intrinsically connected, meaning that one affects the others. So, whether we change how we think, breathe or move, our entire being receives the benefits.
In this yoga series, you will have the opportunity to strengthen your resilience to stress at each level:

  1. Body: Restore balance to your depleted or overactive body with restorative yoga, yin yoga and gentle tension-releasing movements and stretches.
  2. Mind: Calm your racing mind with specially chosen meditations and mindfulness exercises.
  3. Breath: Relax your nervous system with soothing pranayama (breathing exercises).
  4. Heart: Tend to your heart and spirit through Dharma talks, intention setting, self-inquiry and stillness.

Benefits

  • Reduce your baseline stress levels.
  • Learn breathing techniques to calm anxiety on the spot.
  • Soothe and restore balance to your overworked nervous system.
  • Release built-up tension in your body.
  • Increase your flexibility and mobility.
  • Reduce pain.
  • Experience deeper relaxation and better sleep.
  • Improve resilience - your ability to β€œbounce back” from high stress and anxiety periods.
  • Tap into your true nature: a wellspring of energy, abundance, ease and peace.

Who this course is for

This yoga series is suitable for anyone experiencing chronic stress or anxiety. Beginners and experienced practitioners alike are warmly welcome. Posture options and variations will be offered.

Tips for practicing yoga from home

This series is an opportunity to create a sacred space in your home. It doesn't have to be big - it could be the corner of your bedroom or living room (I even have a friend who meditates in his closet! πŸ˜‰).

The energy of peace and calm builds over time when we return to the same place to practice. I recommend having a few meaningful and calming objects in your space, be it plants, candles, flowers, crystals or photographs. You might even find your pets want to join you! (can you spot my cat, Ottilie, in the picture?)😸

Suggested props

Practically speaking, here are some props you will find helpful for your practice. We're going to get comfy and cozy!

  • Yoga mat
  • 2 yoga blocks
  • 2-3 folded blankets
  • A strap or scarf
  • A bolster or stack of folded blankets
  • cushions
  • A chair
  • A small amount of wall space
