Course Description

Mindfulness and yoga are now included in mainstream treatment programs that empower people to take care of their health and wellness. A teacher of mindfulness and yoga must know which tools and practices are safe and which are contraindicated in specific client populations. This course will give you a window into the skills you need and will develop your potential to serve both yourself and every individual who needs support in the areas of mental health and trauma. 

In this Masterclass, you will: 

  • Learn how to collaborate with clinicians in the fields of mental health and trauma, such as psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists and physicians.

About David Behrens

David Behrens has been working in collaboration with doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists and leading medical clinics in London for the last 12 years. He offers regular trainings for teachers in Hatha Yoga and within the traditional school systems.  David’s expertise is in taking traditional mindfulness and meditation practices and applying them in contemporary therapeutic clinical settings to help clients with anxiety and stress management, pain management, addictive behaviours and sleep disorders. Through his multidisciplinary approach, he helps clients to build mental and emotional resilience, and improve overall well-being.

Working with David Behrens, you’ll receive the benefit of his more than 40 years of teaching experience in meditation and mindfulness, through which he’s come to know the source of all mindfulness traditions. He’ll share valuable anecdotes from his personal experience, which includes 27 years living as a monk in a traditional eastern school of yoga in India, and traveling worldwide.
